This guidebook aims to support the textile and dyeing industry to comply with legal regulations, understand their role in climate change, and know how to calculate and reduce their greenhouse gases.  This guidebook is a product of the Project “An energy transition for a 1.5-degree world: Acceleration Process in Asia”. The project is part of the Climate Solutions Partnership, funded by HSBC and implemented by WWF-Viet Nam and the World Resources Institute  (WRI) through the Clean Energy Investment Accelerator (CEIA) with the cooperation of the Tay Ninh Department of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

The guidebook is compiled based on documents, tools, and technical guidelines developed by the GHG Protocol (established by The World Resources Institute), the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, ISO “Greenhouse gas and climate change management and related activities sub-committee (ISO TC 207/SC 7), Promoting Sustainability in the Textile and Garment Industry in Asia (FABRIC) project by GIZ, workshop documents and technical comments of other organizations.
