Summary Report on Scenario Development and Policy Recommendations for the Energy Transition towards to Net Zero target for Tay Ninh province

The Report, developed by WWF-Viet Nam, assessed the province's current energy demands, evaluated energy efficiency and renewable energy potential.
It assessed specific scenarios for energy transition tailored to the local context of Tay Ninh and proposed solutions to help the province meet its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets and achieve Net Zero in an economically efficient manner. The approaches included developing renewable energy sources, enhancing energy efficiency and electrification of sectors.
The Report is under the five-year project, 'An Energy Transition for a 1.5 Degree World: Accelerating Progress in Asia,' part of WWF’s Climate Solutions Partnership (CSP). This initiative brings together champions from corporate, sectoral, and subnational levels to accelerate the adoption and scaling of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions in Tay Ninh province. Sponsored by HSBC, the project is being implemented by WWF-Viet Nam, in collaboration with the Department of Industry and Trade (DOIT) of Tay Ninh, Viet Nam.
